Our 2009 race date has been set! The fifth annual Hueytown 10K/5K will be October 3, 2009. The start/finish will once again be at the Hueytown Elementary School. The start will be at 8:00AM.
We greatly appreciate all the runners who ran in the 4th Annual Hueytown 10K/5K. We set another record! 310 runners partricipated last year. Runners from South Carolina, Kentucky and even New York joined the Alabama running regiment. The Hueytown 10K/5K is run solely by volunteers, therefore ALL the money raised goes directly to our public schools and local children charities. Since its inception the Hueytown 10K/5K has raised more than $20,000. Once again this year all age division winners will receive gift certificates to popular Alabama restaurants and every runner will run home with technical quick dry t-shirt and goodie bag!
NOTE: All proceeds go to local schools and children charities! The race staff is is made up of volunteers, which means every penny earned goes straight to the kids.
